THIS IS ME
Hi, I'm Claire! I am forty-something and married to Jimmy. We live in Cambridgeshire with our two children, two dogs and 3 rabbits (at last count)!
Until ten years ago, I worked long hours in magazine publishing. I tried my best to take care of my clients at work, two small children, my husband, home and pets - but not myself.
I was exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious and stressed. I had bad habits (eating everything out of a packet or a box because it was easy) and my self-care routines were non-existent. I didn't take care of myself at all.
My health suffered and I had eczema and depression. My immune system had completely given up. My body was screaming at me to stop.
I brought all sorts of things, thinking that they would make me happy, make life easier and relieve the guilt of working all the time - but they didn't.
I'd go through the motions of day-to-day life, rushing from one thing to another, trying to be all things to all people. My days lacked intention, which meant that I'd rush from task to task for the sake of being 'busy'. I had no real clarity. I was unable to focus my energy on the bigger picture goals that are important to me. I did not have the time to give the people who really matter.
It was not only affecting my health and well-being but that of my family.
I realised that I needed to take back control of my life, health, and happiness. That I had to stop. So I did.
I dedicated my spare time and energy to reducing my stress by simplifying my life and improving my health. I learned that by making myself a priority and focusing on my own quality of life - socially, physically, spiritually and emotionally - everything else just falls into place.
Not only did my level of happiness improve, but it worked wonders for my family too. By removing the clutter from our lives, we've found freedom, gained back valuable time, achieved great harmony and even improved or finances too.
Learning to live more simply and intentionally, quite literally changed my life. I know it will help you to transform yours too!
My life is by no means perfect now (no one is!), but it is SO much better and I am happier and healthier. My journey is far from over, though - I choose to keep learning, growing and editing every single day.

After taking courses on coaching techniques, decluttering and organisation to help me personally, I started to think, "if I am feeling like this, how many others out there are struggling as well?".
Every Little Thing originally started off as a bit of a hobby and a place to share my passion for simplifying and organising every little thing, to connect with others and to keep me focused and motivated in my life.
Since it has turned into my full-time job! I work with lovely people every day and I love it!
