What is a Professional Organiser?

A Professional Organiser is someone who will help you to clear clutter (physical and mental) and organise your life. Reducing stress and giving you the time and space to enjoy your life. The benefits of a professional organiser are that you can share your emotions with someone who understands your angst. You can be more honest with them than even some of your closest friends.

What is Decluttering?

Decluttering is a professional service to help you to sort through your belongings, identify any items that you no longer love or need in your life and organise and create homes for the things that you do love and need. We will not make you throw everything out, the decision on what stays and what goes is yours. Our role is to support you in these decisions.

How long does it take?

Decluttering and organising your home is a gradual process. The number of sessions needed is dependent on the following factors: - The size of your home and the number of items to be addressed; - The rooms, areas and number of categories that you wish to work through; - The pace at which you are able to make decisions; - Your willingness to continue work independently following our session(s). This varies greatly from person to person, and space to space, so, unfortunately, there isn't a straightforward answer to this question, but we will help you to work through your home as quickly and as calmly as possible. Typically, one session will range from three to six hours. This amount of time is generally enough to see siginificant progress in any one area or category and very few comprehensive organising projects can be completed in less than three hours.

Do I need to be involved in a decluttering session?

Yes, you will need to be involved in a decluttering session as all final decisions of what stays and what will go will need to be made by you. If the area has already been decluttered and just needs organising you can leave that to us.

What hours do you work?

We offer weekdays, weekends and evenings sessions so we can nearly always find a time to fit in with your schedule. Our available appointments can be viewed and booked on our ONLINE BOOKING

How much do you charge?

Our hourly rate is £25.00 per hour, within 30 miles of PE19. Minimum of a 3-hour session.

If outside of this area, additional travel costs will apply and a full day session may be required.

The hourly rate is for one organiser. Payment is required by cash, card or bank transfer at the end of each session.

Do I need to do anything before you arrive?

No. Please do not feel that you need to tidy or clean your home prior to a session, We prefer to see a true picture so we can better evaluate your needs and plan the best way forward. If you have large amounts of rubbish, you may want to arrange a skip as we are only able to remove one car boot to be taken for charity. We do not recommend that you purchase any new storage supplies until after the decluttering process has been completed. After this, you will have a better idea of what is needed. We may also be able to re-use or re-purpose storage or containers from other areas of your home.

Is your service confidential?

Yes, all services and your details are completely confidential.

Decluttering and organising can be a sensitive process, and we understand the trust placed in our organisers. We will respect your decisions and provide complete confidentiality.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are covered by Public Liability and Indemnity Insurance.

Do you take away items?

Some clients prefer for donations to leave their homes straight away. We are happy to drop off a car boot load of donations to local charities. We currently work with Barnardos, Scope, Cancer Research, British Heart Foundation, The Dogs Trust, Age UK, Oxfam and Beauty Banks. Unfortunately, we are not able to remove rubbish,recycling or furniture. We can arrange shredding of confidential paperwork at an additional cost.
